Dropped Kerb Guide

About Dropped Kerb Guide and how we check our data

Dropped Kerb Guide is an independent information website about dropped kerbs (vehicle crossings) in the UK. We're not a council, we're not connected to any council, and we don't build dropped kerbs. We also don't prepare or submit planning applications: we provide the guides, the cost calculator and the eligibility checker, and you apply to your planning authority yourself.

How we check council data

So far we cover 39 highway authorities in detail. We add more as we verify them.

Independent and non-commercial

Dropped Kerb Guide doesn't sell leads, doesn't take enquiries, doesn't recommend or connect you with contractors, and isn't paid by contractors or councils. There are no forms on the site and no advertising. When you're ready to apply, every council page links straight to the council's own application page.

Spotted something out of date?

Councils change their fees, usually on 1 April, and we re-check our sources regularly. We don't currently take enquiries or corrections by message, so always confirm the current fee and rules on your council's own website (each council page links to it) before you apply or pay.
