  1. Email highwaysandtraffic@blackpool.gov.uk for an application form and return it to the same address.
  2. Pay the £115 application fee by phone; the application isn't considered until it's paid.
  3. The highways team tells the planning team; you'll be told if you need planning permission (a separate application and fee).
  4. If approved, you're told in writing and receive the council's price for doing the work. Pay it to proceed; work is scheduled within up to 6 weeks.
  5. Or your approved contractor completes the contractor forms, sends proof of £10 million public liability insurance and pays the £190 supervision fee (£255 commercial).
