Who builds dropped kerbs in Falkirk?
You need Minor Roadworks Consent from Falkirk Council (section 56, Roads (Scotland) Act 1984) to form a vehicular footway crossing. You choose and pay the contractor; Falkirk recommends one known to the council and can provide details of interested contractors on request.

Under section 56 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, no works can be carried out in a public road without the roads authority's written consent, so Falkirk gives permission as the roads authority (often called a road opening permit or dropped kerb permit).
