Who builds dropped kerbs in Hull?
Works can only be done by contractors approved by Hull's Network Management Team; it's an offence for anyone else to do them. You send your application form to contractors of your choice from the approved list for quotes. The contractor designs the crossing, takes full payment in advance and gets a permit from the council.
How much does a dropped kerb cost in Hull?
Homeowner application fee: Not published. Hull's page and 2026 information pack don't publish a council fee for homeowners. Your chosen contractor prices the design and all works on the highway, and obtains the council's permit.
Building it: Hull doesn't publish a typical construction price. Councils that do publish prices quote roughly £1,000 to £3,500 for a standard crossing.
